Standard protection film lasts weeks outdoors in direct sun and months indoors. Here are the published removal windows, the peel adhesion and thickness to specify for glass, steel, aluminium and composite panels, and how to take the film off without marking the panel.
Every machine dealer can tell you a case sealer is faster. None of them prices the time it saves. This is the arithmetic for a Malaysian SME: what a semi-automatic carton sealer actually costs and handles, what a minute of packing time is worth at the RM1,700 minimum wage, the payback at 200, 500 and 1,000 cartons a day, the tape waste the labour sum leaves out, and the cases where a dispenser is still the right answer.
Standard grit, coarse grit or a resilient non-mineral grade? A Malaysian selection guide to anti-slip tape for warehouse and factory floors: what R9 to R13 ratings mean, where the tape belongs, how to prepare the surface so it lasts, which width to order, and the duty the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 puts on the floor itself.
Above 15 kg the first decision is the board, not the tape. A specification guide to water-activated gummed paper tape for Malaysian factories: the ASTM D5749 Type I and Type II split, certified board weights by ECT rating, what 2S Packaging actually stocks, and what changes on the packing line the day you switch.
How to buy OPP tape and pallet stretch film in bulk around Seri Kembangan, Serdang, Puchong and Balakong — what bulk really means, how to spec tape and film, why buying locally changes the maths, and what to check on a first order.
Measure grams of film per pallet first — then cut stretch film cost through wrap technique, correct micron, pre-stretch and cost-per-pallet buying, with a worked example and a one-week measurement plan.
Custom printed tape usually beats plain tape plus labels once you ship steady monthly volume: one consumable instead of two, no labelling step, built-in tamper evidence. How MOQ works, what designs print well on OPP, and an honest cost framework.
In any rack that will ever change, hook and loop straps beat cable ties: no over-cinching that crushes Cat6 or microbends fibre, tool-free moves in seconds, hundreds of reuse cycles and no sharp cut-tie stubs. Here is the full case, plus where cable ties still win.
Tissue tape is a thin, low-cost bond for paper and light mounting; acrylic foam (VHB-class) tape is a structural bond that fills gaps and replaces screws. How to choose by load, surface energy, temperature and cost — and when neither is right.
Acrylic adhesive is the default carton sealing tape for un-airconditioned Malaysian warehouses — stable to ~60°C where hot melt creeps. Here is how each adhesive is made, why that predicts failure, and when hot melt or solvent rubber genuinely wins.
