Our Chief Operating Officer, Ms Kee Yean Lee was representing company to share our experience together with Country Manager from Alibaba.com, CEO from MDec, Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation and few panellists at the panel discussion during the event.
Malaysiakini’s E-Commerce Entrepreneurship Summit run from 11-12 October 2018 at Palace of the Golden Horses Hotel and is part of a series of events under Pesta Harapan Malaysia 2018, a festival celebrating and uplifting the role of young people in Malaysia Baru.
The event has brought together educators, business leaders and young startup owners to promote and increase awareness of e-commerce and entrepreneurship in the country. Their goal is to foster a generation of talented and passionate young entrepreneurs who can help innovate and transform the local e-commerce landscape.
Communications and Multimedia Minister Gobind Singh Deo has made a special appearance alongside Malaysiakini CEO Premesh Chandran to launch the event on its opening day.
Business leaders from Alibaba, AirAsia, Lelong.my, Shopee.com, and more have participated in panel discussions on the first day, covering topics such as mobile e-commerce and cloud solutions for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
The second day of the summit has seen a plenary session focused on digital entrepreneurship followed by a panel discussion on women working in e-commerce.
